Membership in the Gateway Career Services Association can benefit you and your staff, both professionally and financially! 

GCSA's focus of professional development within the Career Services field gives members the opportunity for information exchange and networking, and is unique in the fact that there is also discussion as to how areas in Missouri and Illinois are affected by various changes.  Examples of past and future programs include:

• A formal mentoring program that links new and seasoned professionals.

• Consortium pricing for various technology programs to save your office money

• Conferences that provide valuable information and offer opportunities for networking.  All members are invited to attend our October 30, 2009 and April 2010 conferences!

• Special interest discussions, hosted by member institutions, about working with degree specific students/graduates and employers recruiting those candidates (i.e., Arts & Sciences, Engineering)

• Sharing resources by co-hosting various webinars sponsored by NACE (the National Association of Colleges and Employers).  Certain schools sponsor webinars and invite GCSA members to be their guests.

• Discussing "best practices" as they relate to working with employers, students, alumni, faculty and administrators

• Special topic speakers

• Utilizing the GCSA website to post individual college/university job fairs and special events

• Connecting with colleagues for peer support and guidance

• Gathering periodically for purely social networking events
